A brief that goes beyond the word count
I start by understanding who will read your text, what they need to do with it and where it will appear. A technical instruction, a legal document and a product page each require a different approach to terminology, tone and review.
Direct expertise and coordinated support
I am a registered translator with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Tourism in Malta. This registration applies to Chinese–English only. For other pairs, I coordinate the relevant language specialists and agree the production scope with you. I do not claim personal registration or certification in those other pairs.
Clear choices about technology
Technology can support consistency, file handling and production efficiency. Machine translation is used only within an agreed workflow, with the intended use and human review level made clear. A client-approved glossary or reference material can guide both human and technology-assisted work.
Before formal submission
Registration and acceptance requirements are different questions. Please share the receiving institution’s instructions if your document is for official use. Any required certification, declaration or additional procedure must be confirmed for that specific assignment.
