Preparing a translation brief
Start with the source and target languages, destination market, reader, document purpose and deadline. Note any glossary, preferred style, official-use requirements and final file formats.
Choosing a review level
Human translation, light MTPE and full MTPE address different needs. Use and risk determine suitability; word count alone does not. Explore the MTPE pages for the scope of each option.
Planning the finished file
If your content will be published as a brochure, manual, website or interface, include that context in the brief. Layout and in-context linguistic checks should be planned before the final delivery stage.
AI translation: planned, not live
A future AI translation feature will be kept separate from professional translation services. It is not available on this site yet. Its provider, limitations and data handling information will be explained before users submit text.
